The company’s most iconic bottle, Il Poggio, is the first Chianti Classico to feature the name of the specific vineyard and saw the disappearance of white grapes from the recipe in 1968.

Produced from our youngest vines, our Chianti Classico Annata combines readiness and abandon on the palate with the depth that the land of Monsanto gives our wines.

Our Sangioveto Grosso is made from another of the winery’s Crus, the “Scanni” vineyard. This wine is the embodiment of the revolutionary nature that has always been synonymous with the history of Castello di Monsanto.

A name inspired by the famous saying “Nemo propheta in patria” – no man is a prophet in his own land – a fitting description of the winery’s cutting-edge and pioneering spirit.

Our Chardonnay is the brainchild of Fabrizio Bianchi, who – in the mid-1970s – decided to plant these vines on the winery’s land outside of the Chianti Classico denomination.

Produced not by using the saignée method, but through a short period of maceration, our Rosé comes from our youngest Sangiovese grapes.

From Sangiovese grapes harvested in October and left to dry until the first months of the following year, Vinsanto Occhio di Pernice is produced following the strictest tradition.

Made from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes harvested in October and left to dry until early February, Castello di Monsanto’s Vinsanto is produced according to strict traditions.
