Climate trend
In 2001, a mild winter resulted in the budding of the vines earlier than the previous year. This resulted in greater susceptibility to the late spring’s low temperatures. The frost, on April 13th, significantly reduced production. Afterward, the regularity of the season permitted good development of vegetation and production. In the summer, the weather was extremely dry and temperature fluctuations between night and day afterward assured slow and uniform ripening of the grapes.
